Lars Mikkelsen-1Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen was born 6 May 1964. He has appeared as Copenhagen mayoral election candidate Troels Hartmann in the drama series The Killing,[1] Charles Augustus Magnussen in the third season of Sherlock, the Russian president Viktor Petrov in the American House of Cards on Netflix, and Grand Admiral Thrawn in Star Wars Rebels. In 2011, he took home the Reumert Prize of Honour At 27 years old He was enrolled in the National Theatre School of Denmark and was graduated in the year 1995. He was also in The Killing's drama series. In the following years, he was on the show in Borgen III and Those Who Kill and Those Who Kill, both internationally popular Danish drama series. He was also a key role in an episode on BBC drama Sherlock, where he played the blackmailer Charles Augustus Magnussen. In the American TV show House of Cards he played the President of Russia. In 2018 he was honored with an International Emmy Award. His role in Danish TV drama Herrens Veje won him an International Emmy Award. The show aired in the UK in 2019under the title Ride Upon the Storm.
