Taylor
Taylor Swift is that rarest of pop phenomena: a superstar who managed to fully transition from the traditional to becoming an enduring celebrity and then conquering the world in the process. Swift shed her roots in country music like a second-skin, and revealed that she was the most refined pop sensibility of the time. Swift was the only artist/singer who could follow the zeitgeist of popular music on the road. The evidence was clear in her earliest songs especially with regard to the neo tribute of Tim McGraw. On her 2nd album, Fearless (2008) Swift showcased a writer getting to know herself. The album was a huge success, not just in America, but also with six platinum-certified songs. In fact, the Top Ten songs Love Story & You Belong with Me were the primary reasons behind this. However, it did exceptionally well throughout the world. The Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago, consolidated her prior success, and catapulted her into superstardom. In the following three years, Swift's popularity increased -- Red (2012), Reputation (2014), and 1989 (2014-2015) during which time she entered a new world of pop music with her skills already established. In the end, when she refocused her music with the stripped-down releases of 2020, folklore, and Evermore but she was still on top. It was a position that was confirmed through re-recordings of her previous catalog, as well as Midnights the synth-based chart-topper 2022 album.
